Tom entered slowly his bedroom. He brought some tea in a small blue cup. The smell of lemon spread all over the place. He looked around and sat on his favorite armchair, which was standing next to his enormous bed. There was a big, white, fluffy blanket so Tom could cover his legs. He looked out the window. It was snowing and the wind was blowing hard. It was getting dark. Tom almost felt how cold it was outside. "It was a good idea with this tea"- he thought. He had so many things on his mind now. He wanted to relax. The man looked onto a small calendar which was standing on the table under the window. It was Christmas Eve. The night during which everything could happen. He tried to remember the last year. Everything what he did, people which he had met. Finally he looked at books on the shelf. He reached his hand for his favorite title: “Mac Beth”. It was his small ritual. Every time he wanted to feel better he read this book. He started to read first pages and did not felt when his eyes closed. He heard a strange noise. Opened his eyes slowly and looked around. His book was on the floor. But he was all alone in his room. Then the noise repeated itself. It was something similar to the noise made by chains. “There must be someone in the house”- he whispered. Shaking a little, he stood up and walked to the door. He touched the handle. It was really cold. First he couldn’t turn it, but when he used more strength he finally managed to do it. He opened the door and leant out onto the corridor. It was really dark there, so he couldn’t see anything. Then for the second he thought that he saw a light. Like from the candle. “But that can’t be the truth”- now he was really scared. Someone shut the door. He screamed. “Who is there?”- Tom asked. There was no answer. He thought for a while what should he do, and then he carefully approached to the stairs. It was so dark that he hardly saw the steps. He wanted to go to the corridor and turn on the light. When he was almost there he saw a little flame, like from the candle, on his right. The first thing that came up to his mind was to leave this house immediately, but after a couple of minutes, he went after the light. It was only a white spot in the darkness. It was really strange, as if there wasn’t any light in this house. But Tom remembered that everything worked…

Zbieramy dane o lekturze.
Popularność łączy liczbę czytelników pełnej treści, średni postęp i odsetek ukończeń. Same kliknięcia nie dodają punktów.
Wynik = √liczby czytelników × (0,20 + 0,30 × średni postęp + 0,50 × odsetek ukończeń). Postęp i odsetek we wzorze mają wartości od 0 do 1.
Ukończenie oznacza szacowaną lekturę przynajmniej 90% treści, dotarcie do zakończenia i odpowiedni czas. Szybkie przewinięcie, ukryta karta, własne odczyty autora i powtórzenia nie zwiększają wyniku. Postęp łączymy między wizytami. Koniec bezpłatnego fragmentu liczymy oddzielnie.
Pomiar jest szacunkiem i obejmuje działający czytnik w przeglądarce. Liczby czytelników dotyczą kont; wizyty gości są osobną statystyką. Dane o lekturze zbieramy od wdrożenia nowego pomiaru. Dawne odsłony pozostają archiwalnym licznikiem.
Chronimy małe próby i zaokrąglamy liczby do piątek oraz odsetki do pięciu punktów procentowych. „—” oznacza brak wystarczających danych. Nie ujawniamy zachowań poszczególnych osób.
